Good morning,
Just a few quick notes–
- IIM’s EV-DO System (Sprint Only) is ready for full scale deployment. Recent testing went very well. Last week we ran the IIM EV-DO system parallel to the Kyocera KR1 with a Sierra Wireless 580 Sprint EV-DO card installed for over 6 hours running from Palatine, Illinois to Bowling Green, Kentucky. Both systems were monitored continuously for network connection and at regular intervals for Speed performance.
The results were the IIM system had a 98% uptime, 2 drops for a total of 4 minutes for the entire duration of the trip. The KR1/SierraWireless had an uptime of 65%, 27 drops for a total of 147 minutes off the air.
- Just an interesting note, we’ve been testing the Sprint EV-DO system extensively with a wide variety of streaming media and have found it an excellant platform for video.
- Finally, we have been doing a wide variety of on the water testing with the 1XRTT version of the IIM System and currently have it on board a Lake Michigan racing yacht. Performance details to follow.

Charlie,
Feel free to quote me on this and put it in any literature or website you choose.
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much I appreciated and valued the equipment and service you installed in my motorhome. Last summer we sold most of our belongings and our home and hit the road in our motorhome for a full year. The key to the success of the venture and the part very few people understood is that I continued to work while on the road. Two years ago I started my own business and shed any need for a boss (except my wife, of course). With that new found freedom we hit the road just one year into the new venture.
Thanks to your equipment and Sprint cellular Internet service, I was able to work seamlessly from the road about 98% of the time. Although the equipment was flawless, the Sprint network did not offer 100% coverage in some of the areas where we camped, which is to be expected. This setup allowed me to present a professional and consistent picture to my customers around the country without concern for where we were physically located.
I could not have accomplished the growth and consistent client support I did during the year without your equipment and service. Most of my customers didn’t even know I was gone, and that is the true measure of its effectiveness. Thanks again for your help and support and I will certainly have you install your system in our next motor home.
Respectfully,
Daniel.
